Common spinal misalignments can cause neck and back pain. Your neck protects your spinal cord and spinal nerves, while supporting and balancing the weight (nearly 10 pounds) of your head. Poor posture, wear and tear, injury, stress, and tension can strain or damage vital parts of your neck. Your neck is aligned in a natural curve at the top of your spine. Damage to your neck’s natural curve can cause painful problems including headaches, blurry vision, and hand and arm weakness. For appropriate neck pain treatments in Country Ridge, we first have to understand the underlying cause of your neck pain. Muscle-related pain can be treated with over the counter pain medicines and ointments. If the pain is more severe, stronger pain medications may be prescribed. A compression syndrome, herniated cervical discs, or cervical fractures can always cause severe pain, headaches, and shoulder and arm weakness or tingling. Movements may be restricted or painful. Physical therapy may be recommended or wearing a cervical collar to stabilize the neck might be helpful. In severe cases, surgery may be the best option.
Neck pain treatments in Country Ridge starts with a thorough examination of your cervical spine to determine the cause of your discomfort. Once a diagnosis has been made, we always offer non-invasive approaches, such as physical therapy, before recommending surgical options. Our highly skilled team of physical therapists will work with you one-to-one to create a personalized rehabilitation program. Our goals are to relieve your pain and get you fully functioning as soon as possible. Give us a call today to set up an appointment and take the first step to treat your neck pain.

One of the specialties of our County Ridge physical therapist and what sets us apart from other therapeutic services is the use of the Graston Technique® (GT), the leading modality in Instrument-Assisted soft tissue mobilization. This technique is an innovative, evidence-based form of instrument-assisted soft tissue mobilization that enables our clinicians to detect and effectively break down scar tissue and fascial restrictions, as well as help patients maintain optimal range of motion. GT is clinically proven to achieve faster and better outcomes for acute and chronic conditions. The non-invasive technique uses specially designed stainless steel instruments to help the clinician identify and treat areas exhibiting soft tissue fibrosis or chronic inflammation. GT allows a clinician to get as deep into the tissue as necessary to invoke change, yet be sensitive to patient pain and tolerance. As the instruments are moved over the affected area and come in contact with the adhesions, they help break up scar tissue and fascial restrictions. In time, this process will reduce or eliminate the adhered fibers, restoring range of motion and eliminating the associated pain. It will help transform your soft tissue injury into healthy functioning tissue after a few treatments. Our friendly staff is determined to help you on your road to recovery.

There are many causes of 99352 knee pain and your treatment will be determined based upon the source of the discomfort. Knee osteoarthritis is a common cause of knee pain. It is a painful disease of the knee joint, in which both the bone and the elastic part of the joint called cartilage may break down. Nearly 16-20 million Americans have osteoarthritis with people over age 65 making up half that number. Older women and African-American women are more likely than men to have OA of the knee. There are many risk factors and causes of knee OA. Aging is a contributing factor and so is excess weight and infections or diseases that affect knee joints. The symptoms of knee OA include knee pain while walking or running. You may also notice stiffness, especially early in the morning, swelling of the joint, and weakness. You may even hear a grinding sound when you bend your knee. Tests of the blood and fluid around the knees may be done to look for signs of inflammation. X-rays are used to show how far the disease has progressed.
Treatment for your 99352 knee pain starts with a thorough examination of your knee joint to determine the cause of your discomfort. Our expert staff works hard to continue education, offering the latest advances in medical technology and science. Although there are numerous kinds of arthritis, two of the most prevalent types of arthritis we treat at our Queensgate physical therapy office are osteoarthritis and rheumatoid arthritis. The common arthritis symptoms of pain and stiffness are usually caused by degenerative joint arthritis (osteoarthritis) while rheumatoid arthritis is a progressive disease with symptoms of tender, stiff, and swollen joints. RA often starts in smaller joints, like fingers, and gradually progresses to larger joint structures. Patients suffering from arthritis can benefit from many aspects of arthritis management. Our experts will treat your arthritis pain and assist you with improved joint function, increased muscle strength, and an improved fitness level. Osteoarthritis (OA) is the most common chronic condition of the joints, affecting approximately 27 million Americans. It is a condition we have vast experience treating. OA can affect any joint, but it occurs most often in knees, hips, lower back and neck, small joints of the fingers and the bases of the thumb and big toe. In healthy joints, a firm, rubbery material called cartilage covers the end of each bone. This cartilage allows the joint to smoothly glide during movement and acts as a cushion between the bones. In OA, the cartilage breaks down, causing pain, swelling and problems moving the joint. As OA worsens over time, bones may break down and develop growths called bone spurs.

Our Queensgate physical therapy office will work with you to develop a treatment plan for your specific arthritis condition. We will provide information to help you understand how the disease develops, how it is diagnosed and what can be done to reduce your painful inflammation and stiffness. Our rehabilitation is a hands-on form of care and relies on your participation and effort. It involves exercising, rest, heat, electrical stimulation, aquatic therapy, learning how to care for sore and swollen joints, and figuring out ways to minimize the stress on your joints. Let our compassionate team of experts help you get back in the game.
